Learning and education Essay Learning and education are some of the most prized assets any person could have. Many parents consider these assets to be the primary treasure which they can give to their children to face the challenges of the future. However, there are some instances in which education becomes unreachable due to some hindrances like learning disabilities. It may become a concern not only for the individual but for the family as well. Fortunately there are still some available steps in order to combat the possible dilemmas learning disabilities might bring.     On the part of Tony, it seems that he is not really that ready enough to become a part of the larger scope of education structure. He used to have a separated domain of learning which highlighted his interests to accommodate knowledge. The one-on-one teaching method provided by Ms. Brumbley became the most comfortable realm for Tony to achieve success. However, in order to develop more, he needs to take a few more steps of the education ladder. In middle school and beyond, school works are more complex and require more diligence in following directions. Add to that the extremely dynamic social nature of the class where students will tend to stabilize their roles and projections towards other members of the society. Because of such factors, Tony may have a hard time adjusting to the situation.     In order to accommodate Tony to perform his ultimate best, what can be done is to at least set some modifications in the classroom. First is to introduce the basic foundations of new lessons for discussion. For example, a lesson in Math can first take a course of simple arithmetic to fraction computations. This may seem too easy relative for the whole class but exampling to them the importance of the strong math foundation will not impose an obvious aspect that the procedure is intended for Tony to refresh what he has previously learned. It is also possible to provide Tony a separate customized textbook and assignments so that he can gradually adjust to the lessons involved in middle school education. This approach is not intended for a long term basis so that he can actually progress to entertain newer and more complex lessons in middle school subjects. Lastly, as a concerned teacher, he will be provided with at least an hour of academic assistance everyday after class. A consultation form of conversation is best for him so that he could provide any feedback about the class procedures.     In order to support the standing of Tony in middle school through high school, coordinating with his other teachers would be the best practice to do. This will help the whole learning sector to have a single approach in fulfilling the special needs of Tony. Even if after he has completed the year level in a particular class, a complete coordination between his previous teachers and the ones who will be handling him should be initiated.     Basing on some studies and personal observations, individuals like Tony do not simply experience learning problems. The nearest dilemma apart from education concerns is the social interaction aspect of the person. Primarily, if one is not able to acquire the supposedly pace of learning rates in education, then most probably there will be a certain problem within his core interactive capabilities. Of course, it was noted that he exemplifies a certain degree of fondness in dealing with people in a comical way but deep inside, Tony might also have some concerns in having an interaction with people in a serious manner. If he will realize his disadvantages over the people he will constantly interact with, he might experience a sense of inferiority or discrimination. Compassionate encouragement and kindness can minimize the inferiority factor this dilemma might induce (Kentucky Education Cabinet).     Helping the students to explore their capabilities is one way to nurture their personalities. Gabon: An Example For All of Africa      The country of Gabon is praised as being one of the most successful countries in Africa. Gabon is a very diverse country in many ways. There are a variety of different tribes that call Gabon home. Also, the land differs through out the county.      Gabon is one of the smaller countries of Africa with the area of 267,670 square miles. Comparatively, this is the almost the same size as Colorado. The terrain of this tiny country consists of narrow coastal plains; a hilly interior; and Savannah in the east and south. Much of the interior is rain forests and is not arable. Only 1% of the land is arable The remaining land is either meadows, permanent crops, or other land forms. (The World Fact Book 1995)      Gabon is one of the most thinly populated countries in Africa. It has a population of approximately 1,155,000 (July 1995 est.) There are 11 people per square mile. The majority of the Gabonese are of ages 15-64 years. The average life expectancy is 55.14 years. Women live to be around 58, while men are usually around 52 when they die. This is why only 5% of the population is older than 65. The infant mortality is lower than many other African countries, 92.4 per 1,000 live births. (The World Fact Book 1995)      As in most African countries, there are many Bantu tribes make up the ethnicity of the country. There are four major tribal groups. The Fang, Eshira, Bapounou, and the Bateke. (The World Fact Book)      The largest of these tribes is the Fang. They live mainly in the northern area of Gabon. Many years ago they were considered the fiercest warriors of the area. Now, they dominate many of the countries governmental positions. The Omyene are important because they were the first of the natives to meet the European traders and missionaries. They played an important role of keeping peace with the Europeans. About 1% of the population is Muslim. The remaining 24% are animists. These include all of the tribal practices. Veronika Decides to Die
YAK generation girls, she had everything she could wish for. She Is young, pretty and beautiful. She is attractive enough that the list of her boyfriends never ended. She has a steady Job and was blessed to have a loving family. She believed herself to be completely normal. Yet, something was lacking and she Is not happy; and one fine day she decides to die. To find out what was the reason behind such decision, you will have to read the novel and on finding the reason I am sure you will moment â€Å"what a silly reason to die. But If you will give a deep thought you also find yourself getting Irritated while going through same stage. She wished to die smoothly without any pain and so she takes an overdose of sleeping pills only to wake up some days later In Wallet, the local mental hospital or asylum. Unfortunate of not meeting her destiny, she started regretting of being alive but soon was happy to hear from doctor that her heart is damaged and she has only few days to live. Those few days took her to the journey of life where she experienced what deadness is.Of course, what else she could learn in asylum. She got a chance to meet three most important characters of her life in asylum and they were the reason where she understood that the every second of existence is a choice that we make between living and dying. The three characters in asylum; Mari suffering from panic disorder because she wanted to leave everything and help victims of war, Gazed a depressed women searching for her first love and Eduardo a schizophrenic son of Ambassador who wanted to fulfill his dreams or likings going against his parents' wish.All three were normal, but they wanted to do something different and were not allowed to do so but had to follow what other normal people were doing. Did Veronica's stay with Gazed, Mari and Eduardo change the fortune of Veronica? Did she change her decision of dying? But doctor said her heart was already damaged. Did some miracle happen? What happen ed to Gazed, Mari and Eduardo? I won't reveal what impact the three characters had on Veronica, you will have to find out on your own; but I am sure this novel will give you elating impact on your life.Most of us don't choose but always learn to follow and are forced to stay In an environment created by our society. Anyone who chooses their own destiny or dares to do something different or challenge the rules created by our society Is counted as MAD. We all have some form of madness Inside us. People who want to do something different should be allowed to follow their dream and should be encouraged, Instead of denominating them. Discouraging them will lead to psychological disorder and they might end up their life in asylum, Just Like Marl, Gazed and Eduardo.Every second In our life is the choice we make between dying and living, so help people to choose living Instead AT along. This book has given a very good definition of madness; it says, â€Å"Anyone who lives in their own worl d is mad, people who are different from other are mad. †All the four characters described in this story are worth reading and it reminds us that every moment in our life is special and precious. Paulo Cello is a storyteller with the power to inspire nations and to change people's lives. This time as well he has not left any point in giving us a moving and uplifting message of life.

Kairos Examples and Definition
In classical rhetoric, kairos refers to the opportune time and/or place  that is, the right or appropriate time to say or do the right or appropriate thing. Kairos is a word with layers of meaning, says Eric Charles White, author of Kairos: A Journal for Teachers of Writing in Webbed Environments. White explains: Most usually, it is defined in terms of its classical Greek courtroom nuances: winning an argument requires a deft combination of creating and recognizing the right time and right place for making the argument in the first place. However, the word has roots in both weavings (suggesting the creation of an opening) and archery (denoting the seizing of, and striking forcefully through an opening). In Greek mythology, Kairos, the youngest child of Zeus, was the god of opportunity. According to Diogenes, the philosopher Protagoras was the first to expound the importance of the right moment in classical rhetoric. Kairos in Julius Ceasar In Act III of Shakespeare’s play Julius Caesar, the character Mark Antony employs kairos in his first appearance before the crowd (bearing the corpse of Julius Caesar) and in his hesitation to read Caesar’s will aloud. In bringing Caesar’s corpse, Antony draws attention away from the character Brutus (who is declaiming about the justice that has been carried out) and toward himself and the assassinated emperor; as a result, Anthony gains an extremely attentive audience. Likewise, his calculated hesitation to read the will aloud allow him to reveal its contents without seeming to do so, and his dramatic pause serves to heighten the crowds interest. This is a classic example of kairos. Kairos in a Students Letter to Her Parents Kairos can also be used in missives, such as this letter from a student to her parents. She uses kairos to draw her parents away from bad news and toward news, though imaginary, that is much worse. Dear Mother and Dad: It has now been three months since I left for college. I have been remiss in writing this, and I am very sorry for my thoughtlessness in not having written before. I will bring you up to date now, but before you read on, please sit down. I am getting along pretty well now. The skull fracture and the concussion I received when I jumped out of the window of my dormitory when it caught fire shortly after my arrival are pretty well healed now. I only get those sick headaches once a day. Yes, Mother and Dad, I am pregnant. I know how much you are looking forward to being grandparents, and I know you will welcome the baby and give it the love, devotion and tender care you gave me when I was a child. Now that I have brought you up to date, I want to tell you that there was no dormitory fire, I did not have a concussion or a skull fracture. I was not in the hospital, I am not pregnant, I am not engaged. I do not have syphilis and there is no man in my life. However, I am getting a D in history and an F in science, and I wanted you to see those marks in the proper perspective. Your Loving Daughter Picking the Right Time Kairos really means presenting information at the right and opportune time. Clearly, the notion of kairos points out that speech exists in time; but more important, it constitutes a prompting toward speaking and a criterion of the value of speech, says John Poulakos in a 1983 article titled, Toward a Sophistic Definition of Rhetoric, published in the journal Philosophy and Rhetoric. In short, kairos dictates that what is said must be said at the right time. Note, for example, how the student in the previous section threw up a wall of obfuscation before choosing the right time (she hopes) to inform her parents of her poor grades. Had she told her parents right away of her bad grades, they may have offered some form of punishment, or at least criticism of her studies. By holding off and getting her parents to focus on supposedly horrible news, the student was able to pick the right time to deliver the true bad news, thereby, like Anthony, swaying her audience toward her view. That, then, is a perfect example of kairos.
